"Where can our kids eat free or even cheap tonight?"

The seeds of this site were planted with that question - I instant messaged my wife from work one afternoon, hoping we could eat out that night, but not really wanting to pay for 5 meals. A quick web search did turn up some answers, but they were mostly the typical chains, nothing really unique or local.

And so, later that night, I began the design of a site that would be different: I wanted to build a site that would answer the question of "where can my kids eat cheap (or free) in Chicago (or Atlanta, New York, Dallas, you get the idea...)?" The site would be community driven, would allow not only for corrections to wrong information, but would eventually allow the site users to submit restaurants in their town. So, if you live in Los Angeles, and you know of a locally owned restaurant that offers a deal for kids meals free on Wednesday nights, you should be able to enter it into this site, and allow your neighbors to find out about it.

The site is a "Work in Progress," so some of the dreams I have for the site are still just that, dreams. The biggest one is that, while you can submit corrections (or just confirm or deny a deal as published on the site), you can't quite submit a brand new deal yet. But that is coming, soon!
